Mental health at work: recognising, supporting and referring

This course aims to equip participants with the essential skills to identify the signs of psychological distress, adopt an appropriate stance and intervene effectively with a person experiencing mental distress. It provides a better understanding of the main mental health disorders, dispels misconceptions and develops reassuring, non-stigmatising communication. Participants learn to respond to sensitive situations, including mental health crises and suicide risk, while respecting their role and its limits. Focused on real-life situations from the field, this course provides practical tools that can be used immediately in professional, voluntary-sector or personal settings, and supports referral to appropriate resources and care services. This is an awareness course designed by CNFP: it does not award the “Premiers secours en santé mentale” (Mental Health First Aid) certificate from PSSM France.
